Starcraft 2 does not disappoint and shows promise for replayability. The orginial Starcraft has had success for at least 12 years, and it still remains one of the most played MMO (massively multiplayer online) games today. The multiplayer , on the other hand, lasts seeminglyforever. If you actually wanted to accomplish all the goals and objectives of each mission, you could easily rack up 40 hours of gameplay. The single player mode offers over 20 hours of gameplay, and that’s just to beat the game. The gamehas really impressed me with its innovative gameplay. Starcraft 2 has been extremely successful, with at least 700,000 players online on the first day of release. Rather than paying $60 for one game, if a fan wanted to experience all three races’ stories, they’d have to pay at least $180. Though to Blizzard this was perfectly logical, this is actually very upsetting for some fanssince each installment is expected to cost $60. However, Blizzard announced that since they wanted to make sure the players would be able to get an in-depth storyline for each race, they divided Starcraft 2 into three installations, with Wings of Liberty played in the perspective of Terran. The overall storyline behind the Starcraft series revolves around the clash between the three races: Terran, Zerg, and Protoss. However, because it features revamped 3-D graphics, dozens of new units to use, and a completely different single-player mode, Starcraft 2 has not been a disappointment it actually raises the bar for upcominggames. Players still need to gather resources and build an army to defeat their opponents. The basic concept of the first Starcraft game hasn’t changed much. When Blizzard Entertainment announced the development of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty in 2007, fans impatiently waited for another three years before the game hit stores. The future may not involve killer robots hunting us to extinction, but we might end up cheering them on at esports tournaments.For 12 long years, fans of Starcraft have been growing more impatient on a sequel that seemed it would never come. Still, even with the aforementioned game restrictions, it’s an impressive feat by the AI and it’s surely just a matter of time before it can take on StarCraft II’s top pros and beat them in genuine open play. Although AlphaStar operated on a single GPU during play, it trained with the help of 16 TPUs (tensor processing units). Also, the AI only used a single map and single type of player. AlphaStar’s achievement would class it as a StarCraft II pro, but it still needs to meet and beat the absolute top-ranked players (like Deep Blue managed against Kasparov) before it can claim to have conquered the game. It is important to point out a few things. The final overall score was 10-1: AlphaStar actually lost one game during a live exhibition match. DeepMind’s AlphaStar AI, which managed to rack up the equivalent of 200 years of gamer experience during training, made mincemeat out of top StarCraft II players Dario Wunsch (TLO) and Grzegorz Komincz (MaNa). But they have started beating us in games, with StarCraft II becoming the latest title to join the list. Move forward over 20 years and fortunately tyrannical machines craving the demise of the human race have not yet taken over. But in a 1997 rematch the computer was better prepared, and it defeated Kasparov 3½-2½, thus demonstrating that artificial intelligence was smarter than human intelligence and we should look out for Skynet-controlled machines knocking at our door at any moment. The 1996 event was won by Kasparov with a score of 4-2 and humans around the world fearful of a Terminator-like future breathed a sigh of relief. There was quite a hullabaloo in 19 in regard to machine learning: This was when IBM’s famous Deep Blue supercomputer “ challenged” world champion Garry Kasparov to a chess match.
